Since 1989, GEF, SGOIC, S.A. has built a strong reputation for our vast experience and the quality of the service provided to a wide range of clients.

Central to this is our capacity to analyse and determine the type of structure and solution required to maximise the assets entrusted to our management. This may involve the creation of collective investment undertakings (CIUs), in accordance with current legislation and in its various forms, or the adoption of an alternative approach that better suits client needs.

The knowledge accumulated over many years of responding to challenges of all kinds, across varying levels of complexity, is the greatest asset GEF has to offer to all who seek our services.

Over the years, GEF has assembled a comprehensive team with the skills required to support every phase of a project – from promotion to property management. Combined with deep industry knowledge, this enables an efficient, results-driven approach. Our solid experience is evident in several of the largest and most successful real estate projects carried out in Portugal. In the area of venture capital, GEF also has the capacity to support the structures held by the CIUs we manage, often providing direct oversight, even at board level, in the management of the relevant investment vehicles.

As a management company, GEF proactively represents our CIUs before regulatory authorities, financial institutions, and other stakeholders, always upholding the highest standards of transparency, trust and diligence. We manage Real Estate Investment Funds, SICs, and have more recently expanded our operations to include venture capital CIUs. The CIUs managed by GEF SGOIC directly hold real estate assets with strong potential for appreciation. Acquisition may take place at an early investment stage or during development, with the aim of generating consistent returns for distribution to investors. Thanks to the strategic, flexible approach employed, the assets span various market segments – commercial, residential, tourism, and industrial – allowing for alignment with the most promising opportunities.
